A school in Spartanburg County is at the epicenter of the ongoing measles outbreak in South Carolina, with two new cases confirmed, the Department of Public Health announced Oct. 7.

The school, which the department has not identified, is a common link to seven of the state’s 10 confirmed cases; eight of those have been in Spartanburg County, the department said.

While it did not address the status of the two most recent ones, all of the previously reported cases were unvaccinated.

The state has set up a webpage for the public to follow the ongoing measles outbreak.
