NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — A boat fire off the North Myrtle Beach coast forced the crew to escape on a life raft Oct. 6, but everyone on board has been accounted for and no injuries have been reported, authorities said.

Around 4 p.m., North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue crews were notified off a fire on a boat near the Cherry Grove Pier . Multiple local, state and federal agencies responded, including Horry County Fire Rescue , North Myrtle Beach Police, North Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue, the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad and the U.S. Coast Guard .

First responders on personal water craft made contact with the boat crew on the life raft and they were able to bring everyone back to the shore, according to a news release from North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue.
