A DeKalb County Schools employee was arrested as part of a drug investigation, according to the school system.

The DeKalb County School System has not released the name or position of the employee, or what they are charged with, but it says the employee is now on administrative leave until an investigation is complete.

"DeKalb County Schools is aware of the recent arrest of a district employee that occurred after school hours and off school property as part of a law enforcement narcotics investigation.

"The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain the district's top priority. The individual involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
