Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi had felony charges against her dropped Tuesday afternoon after she pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of criminal solicitation.
A guilty finding was entered by Merrimack County Superior Court Judge Martin Honigberg. Hantz Marconi, 69, was sentenced to pay a $1,200 fine.
Her attorney, Richard Guerriero, said in a statement his client is looking forward to getting back to work.
The new indictment outlined on or about June 6, 2024, Hantz Marconi solicited then-Gov. Chris Sununu “to secure a governmental privilege and/or advantage” into an investigation into her husband Geno Marconi, director of the Division of Ports and Harbors in the Pease Development Authority.
All seven of the original charges were dismissed and the Attorney Gene
