HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Fire crews in Hartford responded to a structure fire that resulted in no injuries Tuesday evening.
According to the Hartford Fire Department, crews responded to an apartment building on Ward Street on Tuesday afternoon and saw fire in the basement which extended to the first floor.
It was initially reported that one or two people were trapped inside the basement, but when the crews arrived they found that everyone had made it out safely.
No injuries were reported, but the building sustained damage from water and smoke. The extent of the damage is not yet known and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hartford Fire Marshal's Office.
