TEWKSBURY, Mass. (WPRI) — Market Basket's Board of Directors has removed yet another longtime executive and ally of fired CEO Arthur T. Demoulas.

Demoulas spokesperson Lauren Matteodo confirmed Monday that the board fired key finance executive Sue Dufresne via an email she received while sitting in her office on Sept. 30.

Dufresne worked for the Tewksbury-based grocery store chain for 30 years. In her role, Matteodo said Dufresne oversaw Market Basket's profit-sharing plans and investment portfolio, as well as two Demoulas family trusts.

In her termination letter, the board accused Dufresne of disclosing confidential information and making unauthorized public statements that were not in Market Basket's best interest.
