A Leeds tattoo shop has opened up on its recent challenges in these “scary” times, admitting there was one day where "nobody came in".

Ultimate Skin Tattoo Shop in New Briggate is the longest running tattoo studio in the city. Opening in 1997, it has been inking customers for more than 28 years.

The shop manager Katie Berry, 35, opened up about Ultimate Skin's current challenges and ways they’ve sought to combat the cost of living crisis - which she says has had a “scary” effect on footfall. There was one whole day this summer where Katie says no customers came into the long-standing shop and no one was getting inked or pierced.
