The director of a childcare facility who employed her child sex offender husband at the centre has been fined $3,000 and had a conviction recorded.

Amanda Louise Vassel appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, charged with failing to gain clearance to employ her husband, Andrew William Vassel.
