Srinagar, October 08 : In a major crackdown against terrorist networks, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir conducted extensive searches at eight locations across seven districts of the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday as part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle a sleeper cell module.

The operation was launched under the ongoing investigation of FIR No. 01/2025 registered at Police Station CI/SIA Kashmir, which pertains to a sleeper cell network reportedly functioning under the direction of terrorist commanders of proscribed organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

The sleeper cell module, according to preliminary findings, has been engaged in spreading secessionist propaganda, radicalizing youth, and facilitating recruitment into terror activities.
