Warm weather and 70-degree water drew swimmers to unguarded Ocean City beaches Sunday, leading to two rescues near the Ninth Street jetty.

Firefighters, police, and bystanders helped save multiple people — including two children and their mother — using flotation devices and a drone.

Officials warned that strong currents near jetties make off-season swimming especially dangerous.
