Savannah’s Hindsight Film Festival is presenting the 2024 documentary, The Day Iceland Stood Still, at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center on Friday evening. The film, told through archival footage, interviews, animation, and scenic footage of Iceland, looks back on and celebrates the moment in 1975 when 90% of the woman living in Iceland decided to take the day off from work and house chores, essentially shutting down the entire country.
