SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The family of one of the victims in a Sacramento helicopter crash is asking people to take a moment and pray for Suzie Smith and the rest of her crew.
The REACH helicopter crashed onto Highway 50 just minutes after dropping off a patient at UC Davis Medical Center Monday evening. Three crew members were on board, including a male pilot, a female paramedic and a female nurse.
One of the women was trapped in the wreckage until bystanders helped lift the helicopter off her so first responders could pull her out. The family confirmed that woman was Smith.
She, along with her other crew members, are in critical condition at a hospital.
