For more than a decade, Max Arnett had a keen interest in Ukraine, enough that he was willing to give his life for the besieged nation.
The former Kent police officer, 25, died as a result of "combat activity" while serving as an international volunteer member and squad leader with the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to his obituary from Geib Funeral Home in Dover .
Although his family missed him and worried about him, he had their support, says the obituary.
