NORFOLK, Va. — Tomorrow night, Virginia voters will see the first and only debate between Democrat Abigail Spanberger and Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears before Election Day. The high-stakes matchup, hosted at Norfolk State University, comes as tensions in the governor’s race reach a new peak and early voting continues across the Commonwealth.
The debate is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9, a little less than a month from Election Day on Tuesday, November 4, and will be hosted by Norfolk State in partnership with Nexstar. This will be the only chance for voters to see the two candidates share a stage and answer questions side by side.
