FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 36-year-old convicted child molester who has been wanted in Allen County since August after allegedly ditching his ankle monitor was booked into the Allen County Jail on Tuesday.

Corey Wickline pleaded guilty to two sex crimes in 2020 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by five years on probation per a plea agreement. Two child molesting charges were dismissed in the agreement.

His victim identified Wickline as her abuser, according to a probable cause affidavit. He told a Fort Wayne Police sergeant that if he had sexually abused the girl, he “wouldn’t be here.”

“I’d be running, to be honest with you,” Wickline said, according to court documents.

Wickline was released from prison in July and began serving his probation with Allen County Communi
