OZARK, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) - The Christian County Health Department confirms a case of tuberculosis within the Ozark School District.
Health leaders are working closely with school administrators, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and their families.
“TB is a serious but treatable disease,” said Christian County Health Administrator Emily Lattin. “We want to reassure the community that the risk of transmission in school settings is generally low, and our team is working closely with the school to identify anyone who may have had close contact with the student and ensure they receive appropriate testing and follow-up care.”
Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that primarily affects the lungs and is spread thro
