CANAAN, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say a missing Vermont man was found alive and well in Quebec on Wednesday.

Tuesday, troopers said Jean Claude Fauteux, 84, was last seen at his Canaan home that morning.

They said his disappearance was not suspicious, but there were concerns for his welfare.

Wednesday night, troopers said Fauteux was found alive and well in Hermenegilde, Quebec.

He was cleared medically in Canada and returned to Canaan to be reunited with his family.
