Giving those who served our country a reasonably priced place to live. Housing officials in Manchester say they’re prioritizing veterans for any affordable home that’s built in the future.

It comes as thousands of veterans across Connecticut struggle with housing.

A plot of land on Spencer Street in Manchester sits empty, but it’s full of possibilities to Bridgitte Prince.

“It’s ideal. Actually, it’s the perfect place,” she said.

A place that could have affordable apartment units for veterans. Prince, an Army veteran, said the location makes sense.

“You have grocery stores there. You have restaurants. You have gas stations. You have a department store there,” she said.
