A 65-year-old man died Sunday evening after crashing with a car while riding his motorcycle in Arlington, police announced Wednesday.

Arlington resident Martin Mitchell died in a crash at the intersection of Washington and Summer Streets, Arlington police said in a press release . When police responded to the scene around 8 p.m., they found that his motorcycle had collided with a car driven by an 18-year-old Saugus woman.

First responders took Mitchell to a local hospital where he was declared dead, police said. The woman was also taken to a hospital for treatment, but was later released.
