LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A freeze warning has been issued for the Lansing and Jackson areas, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing Wednesday night.

The cold weather is an adjustment, not just for our bodies, but also our outdoor plants.

“If you have some annual plants that you want to keep blooming and have them look nice, and you can’t move them into a garage tonight, it might be a good idea to take some old sheets, something light, a fabric that you can cover them with,” said Lisa Bashline, a plant expert at Van Atta’s Greenhouse and Flower Shop in Haslett.

Bashline adds, if you have indoor plants outside, it’s time to bring them in.

“They’re not going to make it through the night,” said Bashline.
