At 2:28 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a frost advisory valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Dukes County.
The weather service states to anticipate, “Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation.”
“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” explains the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
