GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE: W. Friendly Avenue is back open.

One lane of West Friendly Avenue is closed due to a crash on Thursday morning, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

A car crashed into a utility pole and overturned at the intersection of W. Friendly Avenue and Smyres Place, police said.

Duke Energy is making repairs, but police said there is no estimated time for when repairs will be done.

Drivers are encouraged to take a different route on their commute this morning.
