HIGH POINT, N.C. — North Carolina State Representative Cecil Brockman suffered a "medical emergency" on Thursday ahead of his court appearance in Guilford County for alleged child sex crimes, court officials said. Brockman, who represents Guilford County, is now scheduled for court on Friday.
The Guilford County Sheriff's Office arrested the 41-year-old lawmaker on Wednesday for several offenses, including two counts of statutory sex offense with a child 15 or younger and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
