SOUTH LOOP — Soccer fans who’d hoped to catch a glimpse of Lionel Messi in Chicago this weekend are out of luck: The match between Argentina and Puerto Rico is moving to Florida.

The two teams were scheduled to play Saturday at Soldier Field as part of a series of “friendlies” while the International Federation of Association Football, known as FIFA, takes a break. Messi was set to play in matches against Puerto Rico and Venezuela this weekend, according to The Associated Press. The game will now be played at Fort Lauderdale’s Chase Stadium.

The change of venue was due to low ticket sales, said Luca Serra, director of Marketing & PR for Legends Global, the firm representing Soldier Field.
