A 19-year-old who was found dumped in the street after being stabbed has been named locally.

Harry Abbott was found seriously injured in St Wilfrid's Crescent in Harehills after he had been "thrown" out of a vehicle onto a driveway last night. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after.

West Yorkshire Police say it appears he was stabbed during a fight in Parkside View, Seacroft, before being driven to Harehills. A murder investigation is now underway.

Tributes have since been paid to Harry, who has been described as a "lovely kid" by those who knew him. One person wrote: R.I.P Harry gone way too soon in such a horrific way my thoughts are with the family at this difficult time."

Another wrote: "Rip haribo gone but never forgotten. Rest easy mate forever 19 xx."
