WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an 80-year-old woman.

Ellen Abernathy Ashdown was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to WCSO, Ashdown went for a walk on River Sink Road and did not return home. She typically only walks for about an hour, WCSO said.

Ashdown is described as petite and slender with gray, curly hair.

In a Facebook post from WCSO updated Thursday morning, authorities are still searching for Ashdown.

Multiple divisions of WCSO and other agencies like Wakulla County Fire and Rescue and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the search.

The North Florida Search Team K9 Division is conducting ground searches and tracking operations.
