Numerous complaints regarding vehicles speeding and racing around the city were made to the Weyburn Police Service in the evening hours of last Thursday. Sergeant Riley Ross explains officers on patrol were quick to investigate.

“Our members with that call for service started making patrols in that area and were able to locate the speeding cars and observe them racing and then were able to get them on radar at over three times the speed limit within Weyburn.”

The vehicles were travelling side by side when officers located them. Both drivers received tickets for travelling 50km/h over the speed limit and stunting, resulting in a seven-day vehicle impoundment. Sgt.
