The Weyburn housing market is showing signs of balancing out, with a noticeable drop in sales activity in September that contrasts with near-record highs across the province.
According to the latest monthly report from the Saskatchewan Realtors Association, home prices in Weyburn continue to rise despite the slowdown in sales. The residential benchmark price in the city reached $249,400 in September, a 10.7 per cent increase compared to the same month last year. This local price growth outpaced the provincial year-over-year gain of 7.1 per cent.
In September, 15 homes were sold in Weyburn, a 12 per cent decrease from a year ago. Provincially, however, sales surged by 9.7 per cent, making it the second-strongest September on record for Saskatchewan. Year-to-date, Weyburn's sales are down
