KINGSTON, N.Y. — A freeze and widespread frost warning was issued Thursday for Ulster, Dutchess and Greene counties from 11 p.m. Through 9 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service in Albany said.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetations and may damage unprotected outdoor plumbing, the Weather Service said.
Residents are advised to “take stops now to protect tender plants from the cold” as temperatures at or below 32 degrees are expected.
The warning covers much of eastern New York, southern Vermont, Litchfield County, Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Originally Published: October 9, 2025 at 4:39 PM EDT
