WILLIMANTIC, CT (WFSB) - Police made an arrest in a sexual assault investigation which dated back to January 26.

The suspect was identified as Kenner Heredia-Santiago, age 38.

According to police, Heredia-Santiago was accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

He was arrested on Wednesday after authorities had been searching for him for about a month.

He was charged with:

Sexual assault in the first degree - victim under 18 years old, actor in a guardian role

Sexual assault in the first degree

Illegal sexual contact - victim under the age of 16

No further information was released.
