Dr. David Suzuki celebrated National Senior’s Day Oct. 1, with 250 people at the Langley Senior Resources Society.
His presentation and conversation focused on climate change and the state of the planet, the disproportionate impact of climate chaos on older adults, and strategies to build local community resilience when the climate crisis fully arrives and Mother Nature comes pounding, said Loretta Solomon, president of the Langley Senior Resources Society, where he spoke.
The documentary film ‘Later is Too Late’ was also shown as part of the presentation by the geneticist, broadcaster, and environmentalist.
“The debate is over, and the science is clear that the earth is now well outside of the safe operating space for humanity and global warming has become irreversible,” she said.
