One of Fort Langley's most popular events, the Cranberry Festival, is underway.

Thousands were expected to attend the family-friendly festival, which always takes place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, leading into the holiday where the cranberry is a central part of the feasting.

Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. 5,000 pounds of Cranberries from Ocean Spray will be on sale with more than 130 vendors, 25 food trucks, entertainment, a kids zone, and beer garden hosted by Locality Brewing.

The festival is centred at the site across from the Fort Langley Community Hall, but there are activities around the village taking place on the same day.
