Boxing legend Ricky Hatton will be laid to rest this Friday.
Hatton, who was tragically found dead at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, last month at the age of 46, left the boxing world and his army of devoted fans in a state of shock and grief.
A large number of those fans are anticipated to gather to pay their respects during his funeral procession, which will begin in Gee Cross and go through Hyde towards Manchester Cathedral, before finishing at the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of Hatton's beloved football team, Manchester City.
Starting in the morning, it will go through venues linked to the former welterweight world champion, such as the Cheshire Cheese pub on Stockport Road, Harehill Tavern, The New Inn, Hatton’s Gym, Hyde Town Hall, Betta Bodies Gym and the AO Arena. A
