PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The two officers who shot and injured a man at a Portland gas station last month did not break the law, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday.
The DA’s office said they reviewed the facts of the case and determined the use of force was justified under Oregon law and not criminal.
Last week, Portland police identified the man as 30-year-old Bryan Velasco-Ruelas of Portland and released officer body camera footage from the incident.
The two officers were identified as:
Spencer Foster, one year with PPB.
Sammy Smith Jr., six years with PPB.
