Sharp Coronado Hospital is once again preparing for its Free Flu Shot Clinic this month (October 13, 14, and 28), a service they’ve been able to provide for the community for decades in collaboration with the California Department of Public Health.

Recently, Lindsay Schimpf, a Registered Nurse and Infection Preventionist at Sharp Coronado, spoke about the clinic and her work as a certified infection control professional.

“The free flu shot clinics are something that Sharp Coronado has been very dedicated to for a long time and invests quite a bit of resources into it,” Schimpf said. “Our infection prevention department runs the show.
