ERNEST, Pa. —
State police in Indiana County said a man who was wanted for allegedly setting a couch on fire inside a home Friday morning was taken into custody.
Officials said Steven Marsh, 37, was taken to the Indiana County Jail Friday evening after troopers responded to a 911 hang-up call that came from a home in the 300 block of Third Street in Ernest. Advertisement
The alleged incident happened just before 3 a.m., and police said they spoke to a woman who said Marsh had arrived at her home, kicked in the basement door, and set a couch on fire while she was inside.
The victim told police that Marsh put out the fire and ran off.
He also allegedly sent her threatening text messages.
Officials said in a release that he was found hours after the incident.
