WASHINGTON — The first trailer for the upcoming "Game of Thrones" prequel series is here, giving fans a glimpse at Ser Duncan the Tall and his young sidekick, Egg.
HBO dropped the trailer for " on Thursday, just days after confirming the series' release date. The prequel series, premiering on Jan. 18, 2026, will only have six episodes, each running about a half-hour.
The series stars Irish actor Peter Claffey, a former rugby player whose past credits include "Bad Sisters," as Ser Duncan the Tall, the titular hedge knight. Dexter Sol Ansell is cast as his young sidekick, Egg.
Set a century before the events of "Game of Thrones," the show follows the adventures of the unlikely pair as they wander through Westeros while the Targaryen dynasty still rules the Iron Throne. The show focuses on
