BERLIN (Reuters) -The leaders of Britain, France and Germany said on Friday they had agreed in a phone call to move towards using the value of immobilised Russian assets to support Ukraine's armed forces.
In a statement published by the German government, the E3 leaders said they would do this in cooperation with the United States.
"We are ready to progress towards using, in a coordinated way, the value of the immobilised Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine’s armed forces and thus bring Russia to the negotiation table," read the statement by Britain's Prime Minister Keir Starmer, France's President Emmanuel Macron and Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
