BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A former deputy with the Door County Sheriff’s Department, who was accused of physically abusing his girlfriend entered a no contest plea to charges, with some charges being dismissed.

This plea was entered in October 2024, according to online court records, and he was sentenced in November 2024.

Jurrone Petry previously faced charges of False Imprisonment, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct. All three charges came with domestic abuse assessments. The prosecution filed a motion to dismiss the False Imprisonment and Battery charges, which were felonies.

Petry pleaded no contest to Disorderly Conduct, Bail Jumping, and Criminal Damage to Property, all misdemeanors.

Petry received 18 months of probation and was ordered to complete a Correctional Offender Managemen
