ORANGE, Conn. (WFSB) - A Hamden woman was arrested on Thursday after stealing a CTDOT service patrol truck and leading troopers on a brief pursuit following an initial collision on Route 15.

46-year-old Dominque Dancy was involved in a collision on Route 15 South near the old Exit 57 at approximately 8:58 a.m.

A CTDOT Service Patrol vehicle had stopped at the scene to assist the involved motorists and manage traffic.

The CTDOT operator reported that a female, identified as Dancy, stole the service patrol truck after he exited the vehicle to check on those involved.

Dancy then attempted to flee the accident scene.

State Police arrived shortly after and engaged the female in a brief pursuit on Route 15 South.

Dancy was taken into custody without further incident.
