(FOX40.com) – Starting Friday, road work along several portions of Highway 50 and ramps will impact traffic.

The 56-hour closure will primarily affect eastbound Highway 50 to Business 80/Capital City Freeway and southbound State Route 99 connectors. Caltrans said pavement removal and replacement work will take place over the weekend. Closures start at 9 p.m. on Friday and end at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Caltrans said connector closures this weekend include: • Eastbound US 50 connector ramp to eastbound Business 80/Capital City Freeway • Eastbound US 50 connector ramp to southbound SR 99

Ramp closures include: • 16th Street on-ramp to eastbound US 50 • Eastbound US 50 to 59th Street off-ramp
