WEST ALABAMA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Firefighters serve the public in many ways. They risk their lives in some cases to save yours.
This week, the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa honored firefighters from departments in Tuscaloosa, Northport, and Tuscaloosa County Fire Protection Association (who is made up of volunteer departments) for their service in Tuscaloosa County.
The fire and paramedic officials walked away with plaques and the thanks of a grateful community.
Each department selected a firefighter for the Exchange Club to honor.
Jordan Jones, the honoree from Northport Fire Rescue, believes that he’s made the biggest difference in his community while responding to medical calls.
