PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- After a rough 0-6 start to the season, the Beavers are taking yet another hit this year as their top quarterback prospect Deagan Rose announced his decommitment from OSU on Tuesday.

Rose was one of the Beavs' highest-rated players in the class of 2026, and according to 247 Sports, is the nation's No. 26 quarterback. Back in July 2024, Rose passed up a number of impressive offers from Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Boise State, and more to make an early commitment to Oregon State.

He has since flipped his commitment to Fresno State, which will be joining the Pac-12 in 2026-27. The Clovis, Calif. native is the second-highest rated quarterback by 247Sports to pick Fresno State.
