DWP PIP claims for daily living and mobility payments are now under scrutiny. Claimants are expected to hear what new recommendations are being put forward by Autumn 2026.

Although earlier proposals to reform PIP focused on limiting who would receive the daily living component of the benefit, a review that's now underway will also examine the mobility component - along with the assessment process used to decide if someone is eligible.

After being assessed for PIP, an applicant may get either or both components if they qualify for financial support to cover their disability-related costs.
