BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good morning and happy Saturday.

You will likely need a light jacket before you step outside this morning. Temperatures are generally in the low to mid 50s across central Alabama. Temperatures are nearly ten degrees cooler compared to this time yesterday.

All of the active weather this weekend will remain along the East Coast as an area of low pressure develops producing rough surf, heavy rainfall and coastal flooding.

We will remain mostly sunny and dry this weekend thanks to high pressure to our north. We are looking at high temperatures climbing into the upper 70s this afternoon with a northeast wind at 5 to 10 mph.
