HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - Deputies are seeking information regarding a deadly hit-and-run that took place early Saturday morning in Hanover Township.

Deputies were called to the area of Reily Millville Road near Woodbine Road around 5:44 a.m. for a report of a person hit by a vehicle.

According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 caller in a white van traveling eastbound on Reily Millville Road told dispatchers they ran over a man laying in the middle of the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

They did not identify the victim.

After investigating evidence and hearing from witnesses, deputies believe the man was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound that fled the scene.
