You don't always leave it all on the ice when involved in hockey and sometimes the good far outweighs the bad when it comes to what's taken away from the rink.
Longtime teacher, principal, hockey player, coach and official Donald Clark said there are many life skills young players can learn while playing hockey.
He said among the skills they learn are co-operation, teamwork and supporting one another.
