The disgraced former singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets, Ian Watkins, is said to have been murdered in prison . ‌

He was reportedly attacked with a knife by a fellow inmate, who slashed his throat at Wakefield Prison on Friday, October 10. ‌

He was previously taken hostage by three prisoners in 2023, and suffered serious injuries after being beaten and stabbed. ‌

In 2013, the 48-year-old admitted to child sex offences, and the rape and sexual assault of a child under 13, at Cardiff Crown Court, the Mirror reports .
