COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man facing charges related to several sexual assault investigations is accused of raping a woman while he was out on bond, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Franklin County Municipal Court records say on Oct. 2, a woman reported she had been raped by a man who forced his way into her apartment after posing as a maintenance worker.

The man, who the victim later identified as 35-year-old Philip Daniels, reportedly forced the woman to perform sexual acts and threatened to kill her if she did not do what he said.

On Oct. 8., the woman reportedly contacted police saying that she got an alert from her bank that her credit card that was stolen during the alleged assault was used at a restaurant.
