HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE, (10/11):
The Associated Press is now reporting that the blast in rural Tennessee that destroyed an explosives plant on Friday morning left no survivors.
AP reported that the Humphreys County sheriff stated during a news conference on Friday that authorities are working under the assumption that all the people at the site are dead. They also said the number of people who died in the blast was unclear, as well as the initial cause of the blast.
Earlier, Sheriff Chris Davis stated that 18 people were missing.
"We've recovered no survivors," Davis said on Saturday afternoon.
Davis also said authorities believe they are dealing with remains as they investigate.
